Hi Paul,
It was comfortable ‘enough’, but it really depends on how tall you are. Anything over 5’8 and you’ll be sleeping with bent knees. The cushions form the mattress. They are not entirely flat, so you find yourself lying on an uneven surface. This bed is 100% better than the converted dining area double though! It’s fine considering the size of the van, but not the best campervan/caravan bed I’ve ever slept on. I hope this helps?
