We’ve covered babies, children, teens, mum, and dad … but there’s one family member still to go. We’re firm believers that a house isn’t a home without some pets. In our case we have Izzy and Jack the spaniels, and Supercat Roddy. This is Roddy’s first Christmas without his sister Rita, who sadly died in March. It’s important that the pets don’t miss out at Christmas … what will they find in their stockings this year? Here’s some ideas …
Gift 1: Lily’s Kitchen Fabulously Festive Treats for Cats
Well I don’t know about Roddy, but Jack dog won’t leave these alone! I bought a pack of three (by accident if I’m honest) from Amazon for £8.95, but the unit price on Lily Kitchen’s website is £2.95. This fun Christmas cracker weighs 50g and contains dry natural treats that are in effect your cat’s very own Christmas dinner!
RRP: £2.95 or £8.95 for 3 (Amazon)

Gift 3: TIANA Coconut Therapy Supplement for Dogs
This is really good stuff – Izzy and Jack have a small amount a day with their food and their coats are so shiny and soft. It also helps support their immune system, and reduces their bad breath. A downside is that it increases their energy (Izzy and Jack are English Springer Spaniels and they are lively enough already!) They love the taste of the product too – they’d eat it off the spoon if given the chance. Coconut Therapy contains premium quality cold pressed raw extra virgin coconut oil with Omega-3 organic hempseed. The product is non-GM, wheat, gluten and soya free. There’s no artificial colours, flavours, additives or preservatives.
RRP: £9.99 (though current promotion has it priced at £4.99)

Gift 4: Pooch & Mutt Christmas Dinner Mini-Bone Dog Treats
Well we’ve included a Christmas Dinner for cats … here’s a Christmas Dinner for dogs! These mini-bone dog treats contain turkey, parsnips, carrots, peas, gravy, no sprouts, with sweet potato, sage and thyme stuffing. No sprouts … is that really a Christmas Dinner?! Pooch & Mutt products are ethical, natural, award winning and made in the UK. What’s not to love?

Gift 5: TrackR bravo Tracker, Silver
The TrackR bravo is tracking device, which of course can be used to track lost keys, phones etc. But it can also be used to keep track of your pet, by attaching to their collar, by purchasing a water-resistant sleeve and carabiner. It’s small and light, so is suitable for even the smallest of pet dogs. You download a free app on your mobile and from then onwards you’ll be able to track your TrackR bravo up to 100 feet from you. Also as you walk towards/away from the tracker, you get a hot/cold indicator to ensure you are heading in the right direction. It’s a great gadget for peace of mind.

Gift 6: Scruffs® Eco Box Bed (Urban)
PackThePJs are huge fans of Scruffs. Earlier this year we reviewed their Balmoral Boot/Travel Dog Bed, which we still use every time we travel with Izzy and Jack. We are particularly taken with this ECO Urban bed because, in size XL (90 x 70cm), it is large enough for both spaniels to happily share.
The ECO ‘bit’ is that this range is constructed using a 100% recycled fleece cover and fibre fill. The beds have a urban colour canvas outer sidewall with a contrasting super-soft fleece lining; both of which are 100% recycled. This fabric is woven using a yarn produced from re-engineered PET (polyethylene terephthalate). Recycled plastic bottles provide the PET polymer material, reducing the burden on our landfills and natural resources. The manufacturing process releases less CO2 emissions than producing standard fabric. The same PET technology is used to produce a 100% recycled green-fibre fill with unmatched cushioning, resilience and insulation characteristics. These really are fabulous beds – and they do a range for cats too (called Tramps)!
RRP: £29.99 (small) to £64.99 (XL)

Gift 8: My Kitty Darling Scratching Castle by Trixie
How could a cat not like this? It’s amazing! It has a plush cover. The posts are wrapped in natural sisal. The cushion is reversible (washable by hand). There’s a removable playing cloth with rustling foil, and there’s a toy dangling on a string/spring. Perfect for any noble cat!

Gift 9: The Tunbridge Wells Dog Biscuit Company Selection Bag
We met the lovely Tunbridge Wells Dog Biscuit Company while visiting the Christmas Market in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk recently. I purchased a bag of assorted biscuits for Izzy and Jack – assorted because I wanted them to try all the flavours … and they loved them! The options to choose from were: Apple and Banana; Butternut Squash; Turmeric; Sweet Potato; Carrot and Parsley. The business owner, Laura, started making homemade dog biscuits for her fussy Westie, Jock. Jock obviously told all his dog friends how good they are! The base of all biscuits is organic rye flour and rolled oats. And then fresh ingredients – nothing else. No preservatives, colouring or additives. If Izzy and Jack are anything to go by, they are very yummy indeed!

Gift 10: NERF Dog Stomper
It’s not only Toby that’s obsessed with everything NERF … Izzy Dog is too. For her 4th birthday (last year, she’s 5 now) we bought her the NERF Ball Blaster, which they (Toby and Izzy) love to play down the field. For Christmas, we’ve got her the NERF Stomper … OK, yes, it does look a bit like a hospital bedpan – but the reviews are brilliant! I foresee lots of damaged ornaments when Toby tries to use it in the house on Christmas morning … But it’ll be for the garden, of course. The object of the stomper is quite obvious – you load the ball up, and then stomp down, sending the ball soaring into the sky. Izzy will become obsessive over this, I know it already!

Food for thought? I know that I’ve only covered cats and dogs, but that’s because we have those pets. I could have found some hamster, rabbit, degu, chinchilla, lizard, parrot and horse (etc. ) ones … but I’d need a lot longer to put that Gift Guide together!
A couple of the items above have been gifted to PackThePJs in exchange for our opinion (we only include things we really like though!)
