Cornwall is one of those quaint, British places that everyone has to visit at least once. It isn’t ostentatious or loud, but peaceful, tranquil, and perfect for families.

One of the biggest perks of Cornwall is the sheer number of beaches that it has, many of them complete with lifeguards. St Ives, for instance, has the best sand for sandcastles, while Fistral offers space for running and family games. If you want a really big beach, then Sennon Cove is also worth checking out, and it has a nice stream that runs out into the sea for building forts and paddling.

At the same time, Cornwall is a great place for anyone wanting to go on outdoor adventures. It’s home to some great things to do, like hiring bicycles and kid-friendly surf lessons. 

Then, of course, if you want to travel to the Scilly Isles, you can visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan. These are almost unique in the world, and allow you to see things like palm trees growing in England.

At the same time, there are plenty of places to visit in Cornwall that are kid-friendly. These provide facilities and services to everyone in the family (including you amazingly). 

For example, if you go to the Eden Project, you’ll find zip lines and biomes, plus underground adventures. These are fun for adults as well as children, with plenty of places to eat and bathroom facilities if needed. 

You could also go to Cornwall’s Camel Creek Adventure Park. This is like a mini theme park, offering all sorts of adventure rides at reasonable prices. 

Safe Seaside Towns

Another perk of going to Cornwall on holiday is the charming seaside towns. These are just delightful, and often very quiet, allowing you to explore them how you want. 

The most famous is St Ives, but you could also visit Looe or Padstow. Many of these locations still have working harbours and plenty of places to eat if you’re getting hungry. 

Family-Friendly Stays

Then, on top of this, you have a bunch of family-friendly stays. For example, Cornwall is home to countless self-catering cottages with games rooms, pools, gardens, and much more. These give your kids something to do when you’re not around, and provide plenty of space so you don’t have to spend the entire time in your room. Plus, they tend to be quite affordable in this part of the country. 

Mild Weather Year-Round

Finally, Cornwall tends to have quite mild weather year-round, thanks to its privileged position, stretching out into the Atlantic Ocean. This means that the shoulder seasons outside of the peak summer months are also a good time to visit and soak up the atmosphere. Make sure you give it a try.
