After several weeks in lockdown and maintaining a safe distance from others, most of us are starting to miss normality. We are pining for our loved ones, who we haven’t been able to spend time with, and the simplicity of being able to have a meal out or a trip to the bowling alley with our children. It seems like places are slowly starting to reopen now. So if you live in Hertfordshire, here are five things you could think about doing once lockdown ends.
Afternoon Tea
When lockdown ends, why not treat yourself to Afternoon Tea with the girls? After all, who doesn’t love a tasty selection of finger sandwiches, cakes and warm homemade scones?
The Zoo
For a fun day out with the whole family, you could head to Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne. It is easy to access via the A10 and M25. You might even be able to save some money if you book online. Although not in Hertfordshire, Whipsnade Zoo is also a great option that’s not too far and is set to reopen on the 15th of June.
Hitchin Lavender

As summer draws closer, you might want to spend some time in the open air at the lavender farm in Hitchin. Here you will see some gorgeous views of Hertfordshire countryside and you’ll even get the chance to pick your own flowers. It’s a wonderful day out for adults and children alike.
Spa Day
Who else is craving a nice massage or a soak in the hot tub after weeks trapped indoors? Hertfordshire is not lacking in choice when it comes to spa locations, including the magnificent Hanbury Manor in Ware.
The Theatre
There are lots of theatres in Hertfordshire, including the Watford Palace Theatre and Hertford Theatre. This is great if you and your other half are long overdue a date. Or, if you want something to do with friends or family when you’re allowed to see them again!
