Or you could take a visit to Wembley Stadium, where there’s a museum and you can book a tour of the stadium too. Go on a Football-Themed Walking Tour
If you want to encourage the kids to get some exercise, but not necessarily through playing football, a walking tour could be a fun idea. And one of the best places to go on one is Sheffield, which claims to be the home of football. The city has a free app with a football walk guide that will take you around a map of the city from 1855. You’ll learn all about how the clubs there in the 19th century have influenced football today. The walk is only four miles, so it’s suitable for all the family.
Plan a Football Stay
Another fun thing to do is to stay somewhere with a football theme. There are a few options you might like to consider, but maybe you’d like to start at Liverpool’s Shankly Hotel if you’re looking for a luxury hotel stay. The hotel is based around the legendary manager Bill Shankly and has memorabilia donated by his family. It has suites that sleep multiple people, so it could be a good choice for a family trip.
