First of all, when it comes to holidaying with the kids during the Christmas break, you are likely to have the most fun if you pick a location that is festive in nature. What we mean is that it’s snowy, which provides you with plenty of options such as Canadian and European ski resorts including Whistler and the Austrian Tyrol. Then, of course, there are places like Lapland, which are geared up for the festivities all year around!
Although, it’s worth bearing in mind that these aren’t the only options if you are trying to give the kids a magical festive experience away from home. In fact, it’s wise to remember that many theme parks and Disney in particular, are great at decorating their sites, and cruises over the winter as well. Something that can work incredibly well if you are looking for a break that will not only get you all in the Christmas mood but will provide entertainment for the kids too.
Travelling with gifts
Next, you will need to consider how you are going to gift if you will be away from the Christmas period. It’s a good idea to think about this well in advance and prep the kids, so they know what to expect too. Â
