In this day and age there are no end of electronic toys and video games to distract children and push traditional toys to the back of the cupboard. However the good old fashioned jigsaw puzzle is timeless and keeps both kids and adults coming back for more.
We recently received an ‘I know my world’ jigsaw puzzle from Wentworth Puzzles that kept the children engaged for several hours. They loved finding the pieces shaped like a cat, a whale, a train, a bird, in among the usual puzzle shaped pieces! More importantly, I think they now know what the capital of Madagascar is (do you?) and where the Farne islands are! So for hours of fun and to even gain some additional geographical knowledge I would genuinely recommend one.
