My Fairy / Elf Doors from The Magic Door Store

My Fairy and Elf Doors are amazing – and SO contemporary! With a child that is rapidly growing up and challenging her belief in fairies and Santa Claus, it’s really important to try and retain some of the magic and this is a great way to do that. The Magic Door Store My Fairy Door appeared ‘magically’ in my daughter’s room one sunny afternoon, just before she came home from school. “Dad, what’s that?” “I don’t know,” I answered. “Maybe the fairies have moved in?” “Well yes, it looks like they have,” she said, showing me a rather sophisticated purple wooden panelled door. “Do you mind having neighbours?” I asked. Millie-Mae is, of course, making plans to charge them rent and do their decorating as I speak … when she finally meets them of course!

The Magic Door Store My Fairy Door also comes with its own supply of fairy dust and a booklet of personal fairy mail messages. I am sure that these two items will soon build a strong relationship between human and the little people.

So for children (boys and girls) with an interest in fairies or elves, this is just the thing. I have caught younger children knocking at the door and asking if anyone is in! For those situations I have made up a list of stock excuses … “They are away for the weekend”, “Oh, they were here earlier as they asked to borrow some sugar”, “Maybe they worked the nightshift and are sleeping now, so shhhhh don’t wake them.”

Looking at the Magic Door Store website I was totally captivated by the accessories you can get for your door … a set of mini-steps in case (like us) you found your fairy door high above the skirting board (the ladder helps the fairies climb down to the ground!) There’s also an ornate park bench, a milk bottle carrier with bottles, and my favourite item of all – a teeny Christmas door wreath!

Well, even fairies decorate their homes at Christmas!
