Review: Safe Breaker game from Yulu

Safe Breaker is the new game from Yulu that tests your skills in robbing safes! A game for three to four players, Safe Breaker is a card game where each player must enter the number from a card in each turn. By listening to the safe stethoscope, the Safe Breaker (i.e., the player), can find out if their number matches the safe combination or is too high or too low. At the same time, you may get the police on your tail! The object of the game is to get the most gold and diamonds from the safe before you get caught.

Safe Breaker: How to Win

Certain cards and noises from the safe can take away all your money. To play, pick a card from the pack and turn the safe combination to the corresponding number. Then use the fingerprint scanner and stethoscope to listen to noise clues. Next, use the fingerprint scanner to test the number. If the light is green you have cracked the code and the safe will burst open to release some treasure. The winner is the one who gets five coins or diamonds. But beware of the “alarm bell” coins – they will alert the police and the player must return all their coins to the safe through the deposit slot. So the aim is to be the player who collects five golden coins to win the game.

Game Play

The kids loved this game. It took a while to understand the rules and the object of the game, but once you have played a couple of times it is great fun. No two games are the same and with two competitive kids trying to outdo one another it was quite fraught at times! At the very least the kids now understand how a safe breaker works 🙂 You have to be part spy / part thief and part code breaker. A fun game and well worth buying. But don’t forget to buy 3 AA batteries.
