Selfie Wide-Angle Phone Lens by Paladone

Truth … I’ve never been a great advocate of the selfie (or indeed any picture with myself in it!) But I do take a lot of photos on my phone that are often taken from a distance away to get everything/everyone in the frame … these are times when I wish I’d bothered to pack my ‘real’ camera into my bag. However recently I had the opportunity to try a wide angle lens adaptor from Paladone. It’s small and portable, and clips easily onto the lens of my mobile phone camera.

While visiting the M&M Store in Leicester Square, we took two ‘selfie’ photos – one WITH the wide-angle lens, the other without. Here are the results:

Quite impressive isn’t it! You get so much more in the photo with the wide angle lens attached. The little clip is small enough to keep in a pocket or bag (it has its own little storage pouch) and is easily attached to your phone by a sort of crocodile clip, which keeps the camera in focus during wide angle or selfie shots. The lens was really well made and can clip onto most (if not all) models of smartphones. I’ll definitely keep my selfie phone clip in my bag all the time – just in case … but I still don’t think I’ll be using it for selfies but for nice wide photos instead!
