Stylish Tablet Cases by Lente Designs
"This cover is SO cool ... I bet Captain Jack would pick one like this for his iPad" (Toby, aged 6)
Our lives these days revolve around electronic gadgets, whether we like it or not. Electronic tablets, in particular, are now becoming more essential than a laptop. You may have £300-400 worth electronic equipme0nt to carry around, so it’s really important to keep it safe and protected. But what is the best way of doing this? Well, a strong case is a good starting point! KidzCruises, in particular the children associated with us, have been testing some lovely and stylish cases by Lente Designs. Specifically, cases for a Kindle Fire HDX 7”, iPad 2 and a mini-iPad.
I think the first thing to comment on is the range of designs. Gone are the days of having a boring black, executive case … nowadays we want fun, quirky, eye-catching and colourful designs – and Lente Designs have hit this one right on the head! Got a pirate-mad son? No problem, there’s the fabulous Grey and Blue Skull & Bones design. A girly girl? Easy – there’s everything from flowers, to strikes, to polka dogs to our favourite, the White on Pink Whirlygig. There’s something for the men in your lives too … some lovely striped cases, though secretly I bet they’d choose the monsters! So a definite huge tick next to ‘available options’ – there’s definitely something for everyone.
So from form, let’s look at function. Well, having given all the tablets a good wash down (you know, from dried on yoghurt to possible tomato sauce fingerprints) it was my task to fit the cases. A very simple and straightforward process – the tablet simple slides into the case where there’s a strong velcro flap that secures it in place. The tablets are very snug without needing to be forced … a perfect fit, on all of them. I can see that all the required sockets around the tablets are easily accessible – and I hand them back to be ‘used’ (dare I say abused?) by the children.
Over the last 4 days I’ve seen the tablets dropped on the floor, used as a platemat, sat on, slept on (I don’t encourage this I assure you), oh and manhandled when a baby zombie devours your minecraft character resulting in you storming off in a huff … it’s fair to say the cases have been put through their paces. And the result? Well all the tablets are still working, which is encouraging! I’m looking around the cases for any wear and tear – nope, none. They all appear to be remarkably resilient. Therefore a thumbs up for protective ability.
What else? Well the case cover folds into a stand that proved very popular when streaming movies. My daughter commented on an elastic ‘pen holder’ stitched into her case, which she said was ‘cool’ and ended up using it for her Hello Kitty tablet stylus. The cover, when not being used as a stand, stays closed by way of a light but effective magnet.
There’s not much else to say – other than, if you’re in the market for a tablet case, then you really should pop over to Lente Designs and have a browse. There are cases for most popular branded tablets, as well as phone cases and tablet slips if you prefer them.
You can win a Family Set (4) of Tablet Cases of your Choice from Lente Designs by entering our competition (ends on 21 September 2015)
