For just £9.95 per month the website provides more than 4,000 different quizzes to support revision. As a pupil completes a section they can find a quiz online to test their knowledge. The Education Quizzes website supports all aspects of the UK national curriculum from KS1, KS2, 11-Plus, SATS, KS3 right through to GCSE.
Subjects
All subjects are covered from history to maths, PSHE, spelling and even PE. The maths section covers questions on all times tables right up to 20x. And the history and science sections cover all of the mainstream topics expected.

Both my children are currently in the KS2Â stage, with the eldest heading towards her Year 6 SATS next spring. They have taken quite a few of the quizzes and found them really useful. When my daughter got 9 out of 10 for an Art subject quiz, she was really pleased with herself, but annoyed at the one she got wrong. My son did some basic maths quizzes and he soon learned to take his time and read the multiple-choice options carefully, as he had made some silly errors by clicking on the wrong answers. In my eyes this all helps reinforce the important fact that you must read the questions and answers slowly and carefully.
Education Quizzes in schools
While trying out Education Quizzes a thought crossed my mind. Wouldn’t it be great if schools could subscribe and roll out this program to its students? I’m sure the minimal cost would be overshadowed by the success. An OFSTED brownie-point possibly too! Watching my two work through some quizzes, they showed enthusiasm and wanted to do well. Yet their usual homework is a chore and a long drawn-out process. I think these fun tests are a lot more beneficial than much of the work they are asked to do at home. If they have to do homework, at least let it be fun.
I certainly know that I would have loved such a resource when I was younger.
