On Sunday, mum and dad took me and my brother Toby to see the new movie, Sing. I loved it! The movie was jaw dropping and I was riveted all the way through.
Sing tells the story of an animal world and is centred on a really old theatre run by a Koala Bear (Buster Moon) who sets up a singing competition like the X-Factor in his Moon Theatre. The singers eventually get whittled down to a small group and the film tells their stories.
My favourite character is Johnny the Gorilla who gets involved in crime by his dad but really just wants to be a singer and is a lovely caring person. Also I like Rosita the pig mum who has sixteen piglet kids but just dreams of singing and dancing and in the end she does just that.
Sing is such a lovely story with so many characters having problems that they eventually overcome to show their talent. Meena the elephant is also great and I really loved her character as she came through in the end with the best voice ever and sang brilliantly.
There are some really great characters such as the really old chameleon with the glass eye, Gunther the dancing pig “This stage is about to explode with major piggy power!”, Eddie the lazy sheep and his scary grandma Nana and the farting buffalo.
There are some really great lines in Sing as well. Buster says “When you’ve reached rock bottom, there’s only one way to go, and that’s up!” Ash the teenage porcupine is just great when picking a girly dress “Isn’t this a great colour for you?” and Ash says: “I can’t tell. It’s melting my eyes”.
The film was great and everyone should go and see it.
