Everyone loves an unexpected delivery from the florist. Are they for me? Who are they from? Let me see! Well last week, during a rather drab dull day, the doorbell rang and I took delivery of a beautiful pink bouquet from 123 Flowers.
Packaged really well in a sturdy box, none of the flowers touched the sides as a stem support within the box kept the bouquet upright and secure.
Wrapped around the stems was white paper and white plastic wrap. When I unwrapped them, the stems were enclosed within a water-soaked sock. This was still full of water, so a long way from drying up.
Inside the box was a lovely card – pink flower design, to match the pink flowers! A very innovative flat-packed pop-up vase comes with the flowers. Also included with this delivery was a glass vase (a £5.99 extra).

The flowers themselves were a lovely mix of pink carnations, alstroemeria and pistacia. They are lovely and fragrant, filling an enclosed room with a light floral scent. My Perfectly Pink bouquet looks as fresh today as the day they arrived. Pleasingly the flowers have lasted longer than most cut flowers that I buy in supermarkets. And they look lovely; brightening up these dull autumnal days. You don’t need to wait for a birthday or anniversary to send flowers to someone.
