Modern cruise lines, like Norwegian Cruise Line, recognise that they have many types of passenger to please. Their accommodation options have to fit all budgets and desires, providing the convenience and luxury that passengers expect. From the extended family to the single traveller, all are catered for on board Norwegian Bliss: there are some thirty different cabin options.
All bathrooms are provided with luxury toiletries. There are tea/coffee making facilities for those early mornings and on our cruise also luxury bottled water. Most cabins have a minibar and for those moments of ravenous hunger when you return from a show, room-service deliver to all staterooms. The highpoint of the accommodation is found in the Haven, an exclusive reserve at the top of the ship with 52 suites, 24 family villas and 24 penthouses. An additional 28 suites and penthouses away from the Haven also offer access to its facilities and benefits.

Studios
Single travellers are now taking more cruises. Even groups of friends who go on a cruise appreciate their own space. Norwegian Bliss provides Studio staterooms with private key card access. These cabins have a full-size bed, a one-way window to the corridor, a full-size flat screen TV and separate areas for bathroom, sink and shower.
The living space is around 99 sq ft and if single friends are travelling together connecting cabins can be arranged. NCL do not charge a single supplement and the studios also have access to an exclusive lounge area where coffee, pastries and drinks are served all day.

Staterooms for Couples
There are a range of staterooms suitable for 2-3 guests, These range from Inside Cabins to Oceanview/Picture Window Cabins and Balcony Cabins. These provide a luxury level of comfort with separate shower, sink and bathroom areas. They have two single beds that can convert into a queen-sized bed. There is also a full-sized flat-screen TV, the option for connecting cabins and varying sizes and aspects from inside to full size balcony.
Midship Balcony Stateroom
The living space varies from a generous 200 sq ft to around 367 sq ft for a standard balcony. The balcony size is between 38 and 90 sq ft.
Family Stateroom
Family staterooms come in all sorts of combinations to suit the configuration of each family on board. There are a number of different options for families, depending upon the budget. A good example is the Family Oceanview. These staterooms are near the kids’ area. They include two single beds that convert to a queen-sized bed, a bathtub and additional bedding to accommodate three kids. This sleeps up to five and has 240 – 372 sq ft of living space. The Balcony Cabin (213 – 367 sq ft) is another popular configuration for families. This provides floor-to-ceiling glass doors and a private balcony of 38 – 90 sq ft. These cabins have easy access to all activities on boar. They include two lower beds that convert to a queen-size bed and additional bedding for up to 2 guests.

Spa Staterooms
There are a number of spa accommodation options. The Haven Spa Suite, Spa Mini-Suite and Spa Balcony provide a supplementary pampered spa experience at sea with easy access to the Mandara Spa and Fitness Centre. The Spa Suites include a king-size bed, hot tub, oversized waterfall shower with multiple body spray jets, spa décor as well as complimentary access to the Thermal Spa Suites. The total size is 430 – 433 sq ft and the balcony is 84 – 87 sq ft.
Haven Staterooms
The Haven Mini-Suites, Suites, Villas and Penthouses are the most luxurious on the ship. They all have access to the exclusive Haven area. These luxurious accommodations are located at the top of the ship, near to the Haven amenities. They feature round king-sized beds, special Bliss bedding, sitting room, private hot tub, concierge service and private sundeck. They also have 24-hour butler service.
Haven Deluxe Owner’s Suite with Large Balcony
The Penthouses have access to The Haven. They also feature dining and sitting areas. These cabins are between 570 – 667 sq ft, with balconies of 151 – 248 sq ft. The Haven 2-Bedroom Family Villa with Balcony can accommodate up to 6 people. It has all the benefits of Haven accommodation as well as two bedrooms (one with a king-size bed, the other with a double sofa bed) plus additional bedding and two bathrooms (size 538 – 622 sq ft with balconies between 43 – 127 sq ft).

The Haven Deluxe Owner’s Suite provides a huge balcony of 487 sq ft: it is itself a massive 1,458 sq ft. In addition to the normal Haven benefits, it also features a wet bar and two marble bathrooms and additional bedding.

The Haven
The exclusive Haven Courtyard provides a private pool area with a retractable roof. There is a private sundeck, hot tub and fitness area for Haven Suite guests. There is also a private bar and the Haven Lounge, private dining room, exclusive boutiques and the private two-storey Haven Observation Lounge.
