The cruise experience on Royal Caribbean is not just for adults and with a ‘family first’ attitude every ship provides a full range of activities for all ages. The Adventure Ocean Science program has been part of the edutainment for kids since 1998. A relatively new concept is the addition of purpose built science labs and specially trained staff from High Touch High Tech on board Quantum Class ships, including Ovation of the Seas, Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas and also Oasis Class ships (Oasis of the Seas, Allure of the Seas and to-be-launched soon Harmony of the Seas).
The science labs provide a purpose built environment for children from 3-11 years to learn some cool science and have lots of fun. There are loads of possibilities for hands-on science experiments and projects from building a model volcano to learning about the Earth, sun and stars and making space mud (slime).

Microscopes, Volcanoes … lots of fun science!
Kids can use the science lab facilities and library to learn about the environment, the power of the sun, the stars and planets, what fossils are and many more cool topics. The labs are well equipped with microscopes, planetary models, a range of books and models and hugely enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff.
Kids love science and the Adventure Science program delivers everything it promises and more. Children who are signed up will do something new every day and will love it. Programs include Fossil Fever, Environmentation Station, The Power of the Sun, Volcanoes, Space Mud, Staggering through the Stars to name just a few.
The Science Lab is open to Aquanauts (3-5 years old), Explorers (6-8 years old) and Voyagers (9-11 years old), and children in the same age group are accompanied by youth staff to carry out experiments under close supervision.
