So, I would like to begin by saying how many times I attempted this.
What you see below, is my 4th attempt.
When I did my first one, with ballpoint pen and watercolours, I was not happy, at all, with the proportions of the head. To me, it just wasn’t a peacock.
My second, arguably, wasn’t any better. I tried to draw one on my (new at the time) digital tablet, an XpPen Artist 12. I feel like I didn’t emphasise the tail enough, despite my efforts.
My third was in a sketch book, and again, I felt like my colours were off, and the tail just wasn’t right.

And here we are, my fourth attempt. Nayna Kanabar, from Simply Sensational Food, requested I draw a peacock – so I hope you specifically like it.
I’d like to mention some of the technical difficulties I faced while recording this. My camera kept shutting off. My videos were automatically clipped, and you will notice, towards the end, that big chunks of the recording were cut out entirely.
For this drawing, I have used, for my pencil, a Pentel P205. Regular printer paper was used, and I used a random, off-brand, blue ballpoint that I found in my drawer.
For the colours, I used my Artmaster, pearl series brushes, and water colour stack from an art gallery in London.
If you enjoyed my video, any visit to the YouTube channel will be greatly appreciated, please like and subscribe if you enjoy what you see 🙂
Feel free to leave a request, but know that it may take a while to get to, sorry! New videos up every Friday.
My next drawing will be a Dutch Rabbit as requested by Julie from Picking Up Toys.
Thank you,
Millie-Mae (12)
