#gifted product
We have a teenage daughter who, quite recently, started to demand certain brands of hair and body products (influenced from magazines, adverts – and the colour/image of the bottles!) Along with our 11 year old son, they seem equally obsessed about following a good hair and skincare routine. But how do we know what we buy them to use is ‘good for them’? Products marked as ‘natural’ are often far from it. Our son has sensitive skin and I’m always cautious about what he’s washing with. Locks in Goodness got in touch to ask if we’d like to try their Hair Smoothie and Hair Gel. With the promise of 100% natural origin, we – of course – said yes.

Hair Gel
Ingredients (ones in bold are organic): Aqua, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Sodium Polyitaconate, Xanthan Gum, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Hydrolysed Quinoa Ext, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil (Argan Oil), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil), Butyrospermum Parkii Butter (Shea Butter), Brassicyl Isoleucinate Esylate, Brassica Alcohol, Eucalyptus Citriodora Oil, Eugenia Caroyphyllus (Clove Oil) Flower Oil, Cinnamomum Zeylanicum Bark Oil, Azadirachta Indica Leaf Ext, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Hydrolysed Corn Protein, Hydrolysed Wheat Protein, Hydrolysed Soy Protein.
To use: Apply to damp hair – be quite generous. Then simply spike/style as you want to! You can smell the tea tree oil in this. Toby uses this every day, as he tries to perfect a scruffy top ‘bed head’ look. It dries with a natural look, unlike some he’s tried!
